Altered Book Mixed Media/Junk Journal

This journal style begins life as a discarded hardcover book. Its original printed pages peek through in places, adding texture and character beneath layers of new media.

Once we prep our journals each page is a unique canvas to add your own: Paint and Ink, Collage and Paper Elements, Textures, Writing and Typography, Found Objects, and Interactive Elements.

The result is a deeply personal, ever-evolving artwork that functions as both a diary and a visual expression of thought. It blurs the boundaries between book, sketchbook, and sculpture.

A book and basic supplies will be provided. Bring your own glues, scissors or paper trimmer, fabrics and papers to start to personalize your journal.
