Bag Ladies: Pocket Full of Rulers Tote (Bella Nonna)

This large tote (21″x26″) holds your large cutting mat and rulers so you can keep them organized and ready for use on the go. It’s an easy tote with no curves or zippers, so it’s great for a confident beginner.

Class Supplies:

• Fabric for outside front pockets – 3 quarter yard pieces.
• Lining (bag and pockets) – 1 2/3 yard
• ~30 fabric strips for outside front and back – A variety of 1.5″ to 3.4″ tall x 22″ wide
• 3/4 yd muslin
• 4 yds 1″ webbing for straps
• 2 yds lightweight fusible interfacing for lining and pockets
• 3/4 yd low-loft, thin batting (fusible fleece is a good choice)
• 1/3 yd fabric for binding
• “Pattern No 156” from Bella Nonna
• Optional: Two 22″x27″ pieces of fabric and one 22″x27″ piece of lightweight interfacing for a divider inside the bag.

Pre-work BEFORE CLASS:

• Cut ~30 strips from a variety of coordinating fabrics in varying widths.
• Sew 15 strips together (side by side) to make a panel that is 27″ tall and 22″ wide for the front and then do it again for the back panel.
